The deNada Story
We love fashion. It’s the fabric, the form, the arrangement of textures. It’s the thrill you get when something just works and the glow of knowing that you look a million dollars. It’s the “I-Own-This-Room” confidence that comes with a well-cut dress and a head-turning necklace.
It’s also the reason we put in all this hard work. One person after another says, “I love your styling and your confidence with colour”, and it rocks our world!
deNada, much like life, is a confluence. A coming together of many things – tangible and emotional, expected happenings and happy accidents, design and practicality, form and function, people and products. It is, most of all, a celebration. Good people, doing good things with other good people and enjoying it. Like we said – much like life.
deNada is the vision of designer, Nada Piatek. In a prior life, Nada was a physiotherapist suffering from RCA (Repressed Creative Ambition). Finding herself 30, single and living on the wrong side of the world, Nada embarked on a wild creative journey that started at London’s Central St Martin School of Fashion. On returning to New Zealand she had a stint at Wellington’s Massey University School of Design, before her business drive took over in 2005. With friend and co-director Jo Learmonth, the girls gained a place at Wellington’s Creative HQ business incubator and deNada was born.
